The Department of Immigration and Border Protection has announced the following changes to Student visas as of 22nd March, 2014:
Removal of AL4 and AL5 from the framework with former AL4 applicants instead to be subject to AL3
Reduced financial requirements for AL3 applicants from 18 months to 12 months with condition
that funds are provided by the applicant or a close relative of the applicant.
No change for AL1 and AL2 applicants.
